These pictures show the beginning process of installing a clean out in concrete. We first had to locate where the sewer line ran by using a mini-seasnake from Rigid Tool. Using the location device we can pinpoint down to a few inches where the pipe is located. Once the pipe is located we saw cut the concrete using a diamond blade and begin exposing the pipe. We snap cut out the cast iron pipe and remove a section pipe to prepare for the clean out installation. Once the pipe is open we begin high pressure jetting the pipe to remove any scale and buildup in the material. Before the cleaning process began, we thought a section of the pipe was bad. We discovered the pipe was actually in good shape, and was only really dirty from years of usage without proper cleaning.
