Tampa Bay Plumbers was called to this home in Tampa Fl for a regular maintenance pump out. As you can see while digging to gain access to the service port on the inlet side the technician discovered this an irrigation pipe crossing directly over the service port in the septic tank.
Also if you look close enough you can see that it has been cut and coupled back together from a previous pump out. This is worse then a solid piece of pipe. The reason being now there is two places for the irrigation pipe to leak from and possibly flood the septic tank and drain field. We carefully dug around the pipe and exposed a big enough hole to slide the access cover out without the need to cut an repair the pipe again. There should never be any utilities or irrigation ran over any part of a septic system, tank or drain field. Septic Tank Pump Tampa FL | Irrigation Pipe Discovered
